Alright... I've shown you how to build a PDI executable from SVN. Now we should use this, shall we? This question was discussed many times and Google will get you an insight. I had to discuss this myself at more than one occasion both in my projects and at conferences like TDWI's European Conference at Amsterdam. To cut this short: I think that a date dimension can offer you much more value than the database or your reporting tool can offer. Both know nothing about the sales seasons your business follows. Neither of them know about the fiscal year cycle you have to follow. And I doubt that many tools know when Easter Sunday is. All this and almost anything else you can think of will be handled by a date dimension. Like any good dimension our date dimension will have a key (ID) and lots and lots of attributes.

So! Ich bin gerade mit meinem Telefon online. Also... das bin ich schon länger, aber jetzt darf das Telefon endlich Modem spielen. Das nennt sich Tethering und ist gar nicht so leicht möglich, wie ich es mir vorstellte. Ich habe mich an diese Anleitung gehalten: Howto: Motorola Milestone USB Tethering mit Ubuntu Im Wesentlichen wird der Debug-Modus am Milestone aktiviert (Einstellungen -> Anwendungen -> Entwicklung) und eine Applikation namens Azilink drauf installiert. Auf den Ubuntu-Rechner kommt ein OpenVPN drauf, welches dann via USB-Debug-Verbindung mit dem Telefon spricht. Auf der o.g. Seite findet sich ein Skript, was das alles so ziemlich direkt erledigt. Am Valentinstag muss es nicht immer Liebe sein. Es darf auch mal etwas rabiater zugehen. Wir haben uns die Neu-Verfilmung des Werwolf-Epos angesehen und ich muss sagen - ich bin überrascht! Der Film enthält mehr Splatter als ich in einem Holywoodstreifen erwartet hatte. Das Ganze aber ohne die Geschichte ins Lächerliche zu ziehen. Wirklich gut gespielt hat in dem Streifen wohl nur Anthony Hopkins, der seine Rolle als Vater des Wolfsmenschen hintergründig und sadistisch spielt. Wunderbar! Leider, leider ist die Story ziemlich seicht gehalten und man sieht die Wendungen all zu leicht voraus. Die Kulisse des Films ist exzellent gewählt - der ständige Nebel, viel Regen und niemals Sonnenschein - das passt zu einem klassischen Horrorfilm und unterstreicht eine düstere Stimmung. Man muss diesen Streifen nicht im Kino gesehen haben, aber als kurzweilige Unterhaltung für Horrorfans taugt er allemal. {youtube}6N2lZwOQdMI{/youtube}
